На самом деле, это совсем не скучно и, более того, рекомендуется для тренировки произношения. Так что давайте разомнем язык и немного повеселимся.
В этой статье мы расскажем, какие бывают скороговорки на английском языке, приведем перевод некоторых из них и откроем пару секретов о том, как научиться произносить английские скороговорки.
То, что для русского человека скороговорка - для англичанина tongue twister или patter. Первый вариант наиболее употребляемый. Существует даже International tongue twister day (международный день скороговорок), который отмечается каждое второе воскресенье ноября. Праздновать его нужно устраивая словесные дуэли с друзьями на предмет того, кто чище и без запинок произнесет ту или иную скороговорку.
В первую очередь скороговорки полезны тем, чья работа связана с речью: ораторам, политикам, дикторам, ведущим новостей, актерам и многим другим. Как артисты распеваются перед выходом на сцену, так и актеры перед тем, как выйти на сцену повторяют не только заученный текст, но и разминают язык скороговорками.
Согласно Книге Рекордов Гиннеса, самой сложной для произношения скороговоркой на английском языке считается The sixth sick sheikh’s sixth sheep’s sick» из-за обилия шипящих звуков, которые трудно произнести подряд без ошибок.
Кстати, как вы мысленно перевели эту скороговорку на английском? «Шестая овца шестого больного шейха больна». «What?!», - скорее всего подумали вы, и мы прекрасно понимаем это замешательство.
Довольно странное занятие - приводить скороговорки на английском языке с переводом, потому что многие из них нелогичны, ведь они созданы для того, чтобы потренировать произношение и не обладают глубоким смыслом.
Вспомните даже русские скороговорки: «Ехал Грека через реку, видит Грека - в реке рак. Сунул Грека руку в реку, рак за руку Греку цап». Стоит только живо представить эту картину, как скороговорка въедается в память. Во всяком случае, большинство из них запоминаются именно благодаря своей нелепости.
Давайте рассмотрим некоторые английские скороговорки с переводом, чтобы вы поняли, что мы имеем в виду.

Часто уже к середине скороговорки звуки сливаются и человек просто «шипит и свистит» вместо того, чтобы четко выговаривать слова.
Кстати, переводится эта tongue twister как «Она продаёт морские ракушки на берегу моря; ракушки, которые она продаёт - это морские ракушки, я уверен».
Еще один известный персонаж из английских скороговорок - Бетти Боттер, которая купила горькое масло. Это целый стишок для тренировки тем, у кого проблемы с произношением буквы «b»:

Все скороговорки можно условно разбить на группы по звукам, на тренировку которых они направлены. Приведем еще несколько примеров с переводом. Например, с одним из самых сложных для не носителей языка звуком «th» можно поупражняться в следующих скороговорках:

Для тех, кто читает рубрику впервые, поясню: мы выбираем несколько похожих звуков и сравниваем их с русскими аналогами. После отрабатываем правильное произношение на нескольких десятках слов, скороговорках и примерах из песен.
1. Английский согласный звук |ʃ| – произношение
Произносится в словах: shape, she, shirt и др.
Звук напоминает русский | ш |, но есть важное отличие:
Обрати внимание на совет “сделать звук более шумным”. За счет иного положения, английский вариант более “шипящий” (представь, когда ты или твой знакомый “шикнул” так, что даже слышен свист).
Также более шумным и “свистящим” является . Этот “шум” отлично слышен в произношении актера Джима Парсонса, исполнителя роли Шелдона Купера.

2. Английский согласный звук |ʒ| – произношение
Произносится в словах: vision, usual, beige, decision и др.
Отличается от русского варианта | ж | ровно тем же, чем и его глухой предшественник.
Еще один важный момент – английский звук | ʒ | не оглушается на конце слов, пр.: beige . Он становится более слабым, но остается звонким.

Произносится в английских словах: chair, cheap, lunch, champion и др. Напоминает русский звук | ч |, но не идентичен ему.
Чтобы приучить себя к более твердому и шумному английскому варианту, отчитывай упражнение на контраст слов: сheese – чист, child – чай, сhalk – Чоп, choose – чуткий и т.д.
На этот звук я тоже решила найти пример в известном сериале. На этот раз “Друзья”:

Произносится в словах job, jam, jazz, joke и др. В русском языке аналогов этому звуку нет!
Типичная ошибка русскоговорящих – произносить этот звук как сочетание | дж |. На самом деле звук | dʒ | – это просто звонкий вариант предыдущего звука – | tʃ |, как в chair . Проблем с ним не возникнет, если ты научился произносить глухой вариант. Но на всякий случай повторим.
РЕКОМЕНДУЕМ: произнеси сначала русское слово час, а после произнеси его с кончиком языка у задней части альвеол. Сделай звук чуть более твердым и шумным. Третий шаг – сделай звук звонким ⇒ у тебя получится английский звук | dʒ | и что-то наподобие слова jazz 🙂
Для ощущения контраста между русским |дж| и английским | dʒ |, сравни произношение слов jazz у Кэтрин Зеты-Джонс и джаз у Ларисы Долиной:
Если уж искать аналогии в русском языке, то | ʤ | скорее напоминает озвончонную | ч | в слитно произносимых сочетаниях: дочь _героя, печь _блины, лечь _да_отдохнуть.

Подведем итоги: произношение согласных звуков английского языка
- Английские звуки | ʃ | – | ʒ | более шумные, сильные и мягкие, чем их аналоги | ш | – | ж |. Для их произношения к заднему скату альвеол следует поднимать кончик языка , а не его переднюю часть, произносить с бОльшим шумом.
- Английский звук | tʃ |, напротив, более твердый, чем русский | ч |. Кончик языка вновь касается заднего ската альвеол .
- Английский | dʒ | вообще не имеет аналога в русском языке. Это звонкая пара предыдущего звука – | tʃ |. Ни в коем случае не произноси его, как русское сочетание | дж |. Чтобы поставить произношение, сначала натренируй предыдущий глухой звук, а потом просто сделай его звонким.
- Не забывай, что звонкие звук | ʒ | и | dʒ | не оглушаются на конце слова! Они становятся чуть более слабыми, но остаются звонкими.
